Al and Bea Cameron
Having hailed from Nova Scotia, Al drew inspiration from his roots, aptly naming his company Bluenose, after the famous schooner that also originated in Al's home province. Though deeply attached to his roots, itchy feet eventually propelled him westward, and the beauty of Vancouver Island seduced him immediately. Al arrived on the Island in 1995, at which point he began working for the Jim Pattison Group.
In 1997, Al met Bea on the car lot and the pair connected immediately. They opened Bluenose Motor Company in 2003 and have proven themselves as strong partners, working together to provide consistent quality and service to their clients. Al and Bea accomplish this task by providing only top quality pre-owned vehicles and extending small-town hospitality to each person who walks onto the Bluenose lot.
Most notable is Al and Bea's devotion to community. The Bluenose belief is that business shouldn't be about pushing a product; business should support the community around it, and Bluenose does. Commitment to the customer extends beyond the sale; Bluenose offers after-sale service to the entire community. The dealership was voted small business of the year in 2007 by the Chamber of Commerce and it's proud owners continue to strive for exceptional service and to offer quality products, every day.
With 30 years in the credit industry, 11 of them in automotive, Penny brings experience and first rate customer service to Bluenose. Formerly a mobile business manager and warranty rep, she travelled up and down Vancouver Island before finding Bluenose Motor Company to be her "dealership of choice". Penny assisted in the creation of the Bluenose business office, becoming Finance Manager in 2005. Penny's commitment to her clients means that she will find the best finance package or warranty option available, adding "It's about the whole finance package, not just a payment!"
